ActionOR Getting Started

Step-by-step instructions to set up ActionOR, invite teammates, connect data sources, and publish dashboards.

Overview

ActionOR combines live data connectors, a spreadsheet interface, and workflow automation. This guide walks you through setting up a workspace, importing data, and shipping your first automated workflow.

1. Create your workspace

  1. Visit https://auth.actionor.io and sign in with your email or SSO provider.
  2. Name your workspace and choose a region closest to your users for best latency.
  3. Invite teammates directly from the workspace switcher once you land in the app.

2. Connect a data source

  1. Open the Connect tab and click **Add source**.
  2. Pick from built-in connectors: S3, Postgres, BigQuery, HTTP, forms, or upload a CSV.
  3. Provide credentials or upload a sample file. ActionOR stores secrets in your encrypted vault.

3. Explore data in the spreadsheet

  1. Launch a new sheet and choose your data source.
  2. Use familiar formulas, filters, and pivots to inspect data quality.
  3. Create quick charts with the **Visualize** button to produce instant dashboards.

4. Automate with workflows

  1. Switch to the Workflows tab and click **New workflow**.
  2. Pick a trigger (schedule, webhook, manual run) and drag spreadsheet, SQL, and action blocks onto the canvas.
  3. Test the workflow with sample data, then schedule it or publish it to production.
Tip: Document ownership

Add context by using the Description panel in sheets and workflows. Operators reviewing incidents later will know why a step exists.

Next steps

Upgrade to a paid plan when you need SSO, role-based access control, or higher run limits. Share dashboards with stakeholders or push workflow outputs to your warehouse with one click.
